Best Streaming PC
As streaming has become increasingly popular in recent years with the rise of esports and platforms like Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook, we’ve put together a guide on the best streaming PC build for your money.
This guide will walk you through the process of building a streaming PC and explain the key components that are important for streaming. Expect a visually impressive build, high FPS for all major games, top-notch streaming performance, and value for your money. Despite the focus on streaming, we always prioritize overall performance and value. We are committed to bringing you the best of the best.
Best streaming PC build of the month
Streaming is all about playing games at a high quality, and simultaneously having the power to stream that to a service for your viewers to watch. What that means is you need a powerful CPU and GPU combo to avoid bottlenecks and be able to handle both workloads at once. We’ve chosen a fantastic pair that consists of the Ryzen 7 7800X3D and the RTX 4080. Both of these components together certainly have the processing power to play any game in 4k and stream simultaneously in 1080p. The 7800X3D doesn’t have too much of a focus on multitasking performance, but it does on gaming performance, thanks to the 3D stacked cache that we love so much. The RTX 4080 is a different beast of its own. With enough power to light up a small village, it’ll give you no trouble when gaming, and thanks to DLSS 3, you can have an even bigger performance boost whilst streaming.

We’ve discussed what this build can do and what the requirements are. Now, let’s talk about what components go inside this streaming PC build.
Our Best Streaming PC Custom Build
This is by far one of the finest builds I’ve been a part of thanks to the nature of the build. What we wanted to create was the ultimate gaming/streaming machine and I think we’ve achieved that nicely.
Aesthetically this is one of the most attractive builds we’ve put together, it looks immense from every angle thanks to the sleek design of the case and the implementation of well-thought-over RGB options.

Continuing on its success in the 3D cache setup of the 5000 series, AMD’s newer generation Ryzen 7 7800X3D offers the top performance of the generation for the price, and paired with the best GPU for the job, you get an all-around great machine. Providing a great multitasking ability and tearing through those workloads, you get a lot of benefits from it. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a workload that this advanced 8-core 16-thread CPU can’t handle.

To match up the AM5 CPU, you need a good motherboard. We think the Prime X670-P is the choice to go for. It offers a good value with all the connectivity that the chipset has to offer. Including Gen 5 PCIe storage, DDR5 supports, Type C 3.2, and 2.5GB ethernet. Also with cooling for its VRMs, it will make sure you get the most out of the whole system. You can always upgrade the motherboard if you need better connectivity, but we think the prime is a motherboard that saves money without compromising.

To help ease your building process, we have selected the Corsair iCUE H100i Elite 280mm CPU cooler. This liquid cooler features two 140mm fans, which are, of course, quiet and feature impressive RGB lighting. The radiator is 280mm, giving you plenty of room for heat dissipation and keeping those temps down. As for the Memory, the new generation of AMD hardware requires the latest in memory too. Which means grabbing yourself a great pair of DDR5 sticks. Along with needing plenty of capacity for good multitasking capabilities, that come in with fast frequency, it allows you to enjoy any heavy workloads you might chuck at it. These Corsair Vengeance sticks come clocked in at a blistering 6000MHz, that is twice as fast as your average DDR4 DIMM.

Now when it comes to streaming, you do want to get some great encoding capabilities, and while AV1 might be on the horizon it’s still not the standard. As such, Nvidias range is the option to go for the best efficiency and performance for the job. For the best performance, the RTX 4080 is the GPU for the job as it can achieve up to 4K framerates and graphical performance for your streaming and recording. The GPU does both the rendering and the encoding when streaming (if you set it up to be that way) so it’s important you get the most powerful GPU you can and it will directly affect your and your audience’s experience.

The Sabrent PCIe 4.0 SSD features sequential read and write speeds up to 5,000 MB/s and 4,400 MB/s, which is already much faster than the highly regarded Samsung EVO 970 Plus (PCIe 3.0). With this 1TB device, you have enough space for your operating system and a selection of your most played gaming titles. This SSD may not improve streaming quality but it will enable you to load everything much quicker. If you want something faster, you can always go for a PCIe Gen 5 SSD. Or upgrade to one later down the line, we have made sure your motherboard supports this feature.
Backing up the SSD, we have a 4TB HDD, giving you plenty of room to store your media files.
