PC components have relatively short life cycles and we’re nearly two years since the current graphics cards were released. So we do expect the next-gen to release sometime soon, in particular, we look at AMD RDNA 3 release date, price, and specifications.
So for RDNA 3, we expect the next range of RX 7000 series GPUs. Improving upon the RX 6000 series that finally brought Radeon up against Nvidia. We do expect even more improvements and close calls between the two. But with the RTX 4000 series, there is a lot of excitement to expect to see which graphics cards will come out on top.
And since the announcement, we have the full information on the cards. And they have a lot to offer with some very competitive options going for it. With incredible pricing and efficiency that may bring it into favor over the competition.
AMD RDNA 3 release date
With the announcement, we now know the first RDNA 3 cards are coming out on the 13th of December 2022. With the RX 7900 XTX and 7900 XT being the first two cards to come out of the lineup.
This does come a month after the initial announcement and so it is a long time to wait for them to come out. And similar to Nvidia, it’s only the top two specs that come out initially. And so the cards will have to compete with both Nvidia cards on release and will lose out on that initial hype.
One suggestion is the old stock is still around and so it might be trying to move some of that first. It also allows some more development of the later cards expected by CES 2023. As well as getting the sales on the more expensive cards first.
AMD RDNA 3 predicted lineup
If you’re looking for a more specific page for each of the cards we believe will be in the initial lineup on launch. As if it follows previous launches it will likely have three from its top range of cards.
- AMD Radeon RX 7800 (rumored)
- AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT (rumored)
- AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT (confirmed)
- AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX (confirmed)
Recently AFOX has registered documentation with the EEC to sell RX 7000 series cards in the Eurasian Union. This outlines the range of graphics cards the company plans on selling including the whole range of RX 7000 series cards.
It ranges from the Radeon RX 7500 up to the RX 7900 XT. Although this may be just it covering its bases it might show an insight into what to expect. It is quite early for any production and sales but that might come soon enough.
If you’re on the lookout for actually buying an RX 7000 series GPU we have a selection of pages to direct you to the right place. Although the cards are not yet out we will be keeping an eye out on retailers to find the stock.
AMD RDNA 3 RX 7000 specifications and rumored options
Further improving upon the RDNA 2 architecture the RDNA 3 architecture has a couple of differences. One adjustment is the manufacturing process it will be utilizing. From an employee’s LinkedIn update. It shows them working on Navi31, 32, and 33 projects. These are made with 5&6nm, 5&6nm, and 6nm respectively., most likely from TSMC again.
It does suggest that the higher-end choices are on a smaller node. While also listing two processes it could suggest they are using an MCM design. Similar to what it offers in its Aldebaran data center accelerators.
Combining multiple sources of information from reliable leakers. However, without confirmation, it is still down to change. AMD also seems to have more information locked down with less coming out. Although that may be the potential date differences between the releases.

AMD RDNA 3 price
The AMD RDNA 3 price comes in at $999 for the RX 7900 XTX and $899 for the RX 7900 XT.
We expected the price to increase with talks of increased supplier costs and delays still around. Especially with inflation and what we’ve seen Nvidia’s cards come out costing. It has drastically increased the cost of the cards so it’s good to see Radeon keeping it low.
Especially if it can offer a good price for performance alongside the low pricing. As the top-spec card hasn’t gone above what the RX 6900 XT came out for and is a great pick for the more saving-conscious user.

AMD RDNA 3 FAQs
What is AMD RDNA 3?
AMD RDNA 3 is the manufacturer’s next architecture of graphics cards. The lineup is to follow the increasing success of RDNA 2 and will feature the Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards.
When RDNA 3?
AMD RDNA 3 is going to release its initial two graphics cards on the 13th of December 2022. With more of the lineup expected to come in 2024, starting at CES in January,
Will RDNA 3 be MCM?
Yes, RDNA 3 will contain some MCM (multi-chip-module) GPUs. It is expected that Navi 31 and 32 will be of MCM design. They are rumored to feature 1 GCD each, with 6 and 4 MCDs respectively.

Will RX 7000 have ray tracing?
It is very likely that the RX 7000 series will in fact have ray tracing. Since RDNA 2 introduced ray tracing to AMD’s lineup, RDNA 3 will likely continue to support it and likely improve upon it. With implementation and support in applications growing it is a staple in graphics. Therefore it would be terrible to take it out. However, the current AMD solution is less than ideal. And Nvidia easily steamrolls performance in ray tracing. So it’s more than likely the next update will further improve on the tech.
