Organizing important docs using utensil principles*

I can visit anywhere in the world, having never been a guest in a particular home, and locate the spoons, forks or chopsticks in that residence a few short minutes.

Why?  Because we all know where they belong.

We have time now at home to get better organized; to get our important documents updated and together in a firesafe. But where does all that paper belong?

  • Do you know which papers are most important?
  • Do you know where they are?
  • Does anyone else know?
  • Are they all together where you or someone you trust, could easily get them in an emergency?

If you are not sure and need some help, please contact me.

If you want to organize your whole house, I have a couple of favorite books on the subject:

*First: a big thanks and credit to author of What’s a Disorganized Person to do? Stacey Platt who makes organizing easier to explain with her utensil drawer example.  Check her out on Amazon.

Another great resource is:  From Cluttered to Clear inJust One Year! by Debbie Bowie; also on Amazon.
