Relax, Rejuvenate and Restore is the motto for Bay Haven Inn, bed and breakfast. It truly is a place to do just that.
My husband and I had been living in a rental while we worked on the purchase of a home. The deal was taking longer than expected. We were assured by the landlord there would be no problem staying in our apartment until we closed. Suddenly all that went out the window. We scrambled to rent a U-Haul and put our furniture in storage with the help of friends. The plan was to de-winterize our RV and move to the local State Park for a couple of weeks. Then a lovely neighbor asked us if we could house sit for her while she traveled. And the inn keepers at Bay Haven Inn gave us a respite until we could get in to her place.
We have visited Cape Charles for many years, but only lived here 8 months. This is the most friendly town we have ever known! That says a lot since my husband and I traveled as military kids. This weekend we get to celebrate with all our new friends as the Town of Cape Charles turns 133 years young.
Thank you: Tammy & Jim, the Inn Keepers; Macy and Dan, the movers; Diane, our new hostess; Patty & George, our friends/realtors; the Monday coffee with the Pastor gang of Trinity UMC; and all the Cape Charles Town’s people, who so are friendly as we walk to the beach.
We are so blessed to be here!
Happy Birthday, Cape Charles!
